Physician Assistant

Adriana was born and raised in Venezuela, where she completed medical school in 2000. She always wanted to be in medicine to help people live their best possible lives. Adriana worked as an intern in a rural hospital for two years in her home country before moving to the U.S. with her husband. They have two wonderful daughters who were raised in Winchester.
After moving to the US, Adriana worked in breast cancer research at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY. While at SU, Adriana reconnected with the practice of medicine and decided to return to school to become a Physician Assistant. She then relocated to Winchester and started a Master’s in Anatomy and Physiology Instruction.

Recognizing the growth of the Hispanic community in our area, Adriana wanted to help them take control of their health and overall well-being. This led her to work at Shenandoah Community Health in Primary Care, where she received extra training in Obesity Medicine and treated patients with non-surgical options.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Adriana is very involved in her community and is a board member of the local chapter of the non-profit Girls On The Run. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, painting (especially her golden doodle, Milo), and spending time with her family.
